For admission into best Engineering and Medical Institutes across India, students need to appear for JEE Mains & AIPMT.


NEET: – NEET 2017 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level medical entrance test regulated by the CBSE Board. It is held for providing admissions in MBBS/BDS courses offered by all government and private medical colleges in India. It is a one tier exam, commences once in a year in month of May. From the year 2016 onwards, NEET exam has replaced AIPMT exam. All seats (MBBS/BDS) of any medical/dental college will be filled by the score of NEET examination only. As per the last order by Hon. Supreme Court, no other exam except NEET will be held for offering admission into MBBS/BDS courses in India from the year 2017.


Nationality: Candidates should be an Indian Nationals or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India).

Age Limit:
Minimum – The minimum age limit is 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission.
Maximum – The maximum age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for reserved categories.

Qualification: Students must have passed/appearing 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology or any other elective subject with English.

Percentage Criteria: Students must have secured minimum 50% marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45% (for general PH) and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC categories).


JEE (MAIN) : – JEE Main 2017 exam is the most sought exam among the students of India. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a two tier examination (Main & Advanced) regulated by CBSE Board. Candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.Arch programme offered by NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions through JEE Main exam while IITs offer these courses through JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main exam is also considered as a qualifying exam to appear JEE Advanced exam.

Age Limit: Candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after 01 October, 1992 for general candidates and 01, October 1987 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Candidates appearing/passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 with PCM are eligible to apply.

Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2014 are not eligible to apply.

Number of Subjects in 12th: Aspirants should have minimum five subjects in 12th/qualifying examination.

Number of Attempts: Candidate can attempt JEE Main exam three times only.

Diploma (3 years) holders are also eligible to apply.


JEE( ADVANCED) : – JEE Advanced is the popular examination conducted by the seven zonal Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). For the year 2017, JEE Advanced will be conducted by IIT Madras.It is a national level examination through which admission to B.Tech, Integrated M.Tech or B.Tech-M.Tech Dual Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science & Pharmacy is provided in IITs and ISM. This examination is open for Indian national as well as for foreign national candidates. JEE Advanced is the second stage of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The candidates can attempt this examination two consecutive times.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA: –All the aspirants are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for JEE Advanced 2017. The eligibility conditions that should be satisfied by the candidates are as follows:

Performance in Class XII: Candidate appearing for JEE Advanced 2017 has to score minimum 75% marks (for Gen/OBC) & 65% marks (SC/ST/PwD) in 12th or equivalent class. OR 

Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

If a candidate passes Class XII (or equivalent) in 2016, but writes one of the required subjects (mentioned above) in 2017 for improvement or any other reason, then the aggregate percentage will be calculated by considering the maximum marks obtained in the required subjects.

Performance in JEE (Main) 2017: Candidates should be among the top 2,20,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2017.

Age Limit: Candidates must possess the age on or after October 1, 1992. Five years age relaxation will be provided to the SC/ST candidates. These candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1987.

No of Attempts: The candidates can appear the examination maximum two times in a consecutive years. Those appeared the examination in 2016 are also eligible to apply this year.

However, candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) examination results for the academic year 2014-15 were declared after June 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

Must have appeared the 12th class first time with all the subjects either in the year 2016 or 2017. If candidate seeking for the improvement in the year 2017 then he/she has to appear the improvement exam in all the subjects.

Earlier admission at IITs: A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program) OR accepted the IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. The candidates whose admission at IITs was cancelled are also NOTeligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2016 can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017. The candidates who have paid seat acceptance fee but not accepted the seat (by not reporting at any reporting centre during joint seat allocation in 2016) are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2017.


BITSAT: The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) is a university level entrance test organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. It is organized to provide admission in first year degree in various UG and PG programmes like B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sccourses. The BITS offers admission in three campuses i.e. BITS Pilani Campus, K. K. Birla Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus. It is one of the most sought university entrance exam by the students wishing to get admission in BITS campuses. The exam is conducted once in a year through CBT (Computer Based Test) during the month of May.

For admission to all programmes (except B.Pharma): Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Subjects

For admission in B.Pharma: Candidates must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with PCB or PCM group with English subject.

Candidates must have obtained 75% marks in PCB or PCM group.

Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

Aspirants who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or earlier are not eligible to apply.


ICAR-AIEEA: –The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts the entrance examination popularly known as All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA). This examination is basically organized for providing admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. AIEEA UG is the entrance examination through which the candidates are admitted to the bachelor degree programmes in agriculture other than veterinary sciences While AIEEA PG is organized for the candidates seeking admission in master’s degree programmes offered by the Agricultural Universities. ICAR also conducts the entrance examination for PhD course namely AICE-SRF (PGS).

For AIEEA UG 2017:

For GEN candidates, age must be in between 17 to 23 years as on 31st August, 2017.

Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit of SC/ST/PC candidates will be provided.

The candidates belonging from GEN, UPS (Under Privileged State) and OBC categories must have passed 10+2 examination with 50% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC/ST/PC).

The intermediate examination should be passed with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations.


SET : – Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a university level test that is conducted by the Symbiosis International University. SET is organized for admission to undergraduate courses of the Symbiosis university and its constituents Institutions. The examination si commenced once in a year in first week of May as a pen paper based test. This entrance test will be held in various cities of the country.

BA./BBA.LLB Pass/Appearing XII   (10+2) examination with minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates)
BCA Pass XII standard examination or equivalent/ Diploma in Engineering/Technology with minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates)
BBA Passed XII or equivalent examination with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
B.Sc XII Pass or equivalent
B.Des Passed 10+2 or equivalent OR 10+3 diploma



SCRA: -Undoubtedly, Indian Railways is one of the important sections of the Indian Government, known for generating plethora of employment opportunities every year in its various departments. Every year, lakhs of students appear for RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) UPSC SCRA exam for getting railway jobs in India. SCRA 2016 exam will be directed for vacancies available in Railway, Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department.

Candidates, who want jobs in Mechanical Engineering Department in Railway, will be selected on the base of SCRA 2016 exam score.

Since SCRA is a very big department of Indian Railway Recruitment Board thus employees under it are appointed through SCRA exam 2015. The exam is held every year under the supervision of Union Public Service Commission. The exam serves as an entry pass for those students aspiring for admission to under graduate programme in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Jamalpur. It’s is one of the oldest and reputed technical institutes.

After the completion of four years apprentice course, candidates are recruited at higher position in Indian Railway, perchance, Group A officers.

Eligibility: –

AgeLimit:- 17-21years.
Educational Qualification:- Must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent examination of a university or board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and atleast one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.


NDA : – The candidates want to join National Defence Academy (NDA) have to appear in the entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi. The authority schedules the examination two times within a year in the month of April and September.

ELIGIBILTY: – Eligibility for Indian Army:

The candidates want to apply for Indian Army must have completed 12th or its equivalent exam from a well-recognized board. The appearing candidates can also apply.

Eligibility for Indian Navy and Air Force: –

Those seeking for Indian Navy and Air Force must have passed their 12th/appearing from a recognized board or University with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.



AIPVT: – The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) New Delhi conducts the All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) , which is a common entrance examination for veterinary college of India for filling up the 300 seats available through this exam. The courses offered include B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry) degree course which is for duration of five years including six months of compulsory rotating internship.

Note: The Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984 has not been adopted by Jammu and Kashmir and hence the students from Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to appear for the All India Pre-Veterinary Test.

Eligibility: -The candidates must complete their 10+2 or Higher Secondary Examination or other equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the core subjects  with 50% aggregate in PCB.
(ii) He/she should complete the Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized Board or a University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which should include a practical test) and English
